The Singer Was Forced To Flee The Sea Down Under

Ke$ha may be a wild chick at heart, but even she was spooked at almost coming face to face with a shark.

The ‘Tik Tok’ singer, who came to Oz for a promo tour last month, got the shock of her life during a trip to Bondi beach.

A source told The Daily Star, “Ke$ha was larking about in the sea when someone started screaming ‘shark!’ She freaked out massively and started screaming to get out of the water.

“The lifeguards spotted several beast lurking nearby and started running wild getting everyone out the water.” And talking of ‘Animal’ behaviour…

The popstar, who lists breaking into Prince’s house and puking in Paris Hilton’s closet as some of her achievements, has also revealed the truth about rumours she once relieved herself in a sink in front of Lily Allen.

Speaking to Interview Magazine, she said, “I was peeing in the sink, and I felt bad for the people who were waiting in line because they could hear me peeing, so I started singing, “Turn around, every now and then I get a little bit lonely [from Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’].

“Lily did help me with the chorus. I don’t care about that stuff, though. It’s not like I’m hurting anybody. I’m not doing drugs. I’m not making sex tapes. I’m pissing. So what? I don’t think I’d have the number one song if I wasn’t working my ass off, too.”

Ke$ha glows in the dark — literally — in this exclusive still from her upcoming “Your Love is My Drug” video.

Is glow-in-the-dark the new glitter?!

Honey from Partizan directed the video, JustJared.com can confirm. They’re a directing husband and wife team — Nick Brooks and Laura Kelly. They also helmed the vids for Paramore’s “Ignorance” and KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See.”

K$ filmed the “Your Love Is My Drug” video in the desert outside of L.A. on April 8.

NBC has announced the lineup for the Today Show’s 15th annual summer concert series, which Sting kicks off on May 14 with a 30-minute set from his upcoming tour with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Katy Perry will close the season on Aug. 27.

Ke$ha’s grip on the pop world seems surprising to some — she spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with the inescapable “TiK ToK,” and her album, Animal, topped the Billboard 200 album chart — but to those who worked with her while she was trying to make it in the business, it was the just inevitable happening.

“We always knew she’d be huge,” songwriter Liv Nervo told NeonLimelight.com in a phone interview. “This girl’s a freakin’ rockstar. She knew it. Everybody who worked with her knew it.”

Liv and her twin sister Mim, collectively known as the Australian producing/songwriting/DJing duo Nervo, has worked with Britney Spears, PussyCat Dolls, and most recently penned the Grammy-winning “When Love Takes Over” for David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. They worked with Ke$ha early in her career when she was “a girl from Nashville singing country songs,” and helped her discover the sound that would make her a chart sensation. Their long partnership resulted in two songs on Animal, “Boots & Boys” and the international bonus “VIP.”

Ke$ha definitely took more than one for the team at the LA Dodgeball Championship in Los Angeles April 12. Apparently being a celebrity isn’t good for everything!

There are definitely perks that come with being a celebrity — unless you’re playing dodgeball, that is. Pop star Ke$ha found out the hard way that fame doesn’t help when you’re playing ball — in fact, it made her the main target!

“Ke$ha did make it down to the final few standing, but for the most part she was the main target. She really took ‘em for the team,” an eyewitness at the LA Dodgeball Championship tournament at the Staples Center April 12 told HollywoodLife.com exclusively of the hour-long battle. “People were totally like, ‘We have to take her down! She’s a celebrity…she’s asking for it!’”

But even when she was under attack, the 23-year-old “Tik Tok” singer kept her game face on and helped her team — ‘What Would Jesus Dodge’ — take the second place prize!

Ke$ha gets crazy in a new feature photo shoot for the April 2010 issue of Interview Magazine.

The mag’s introduction reads, “Kesha Rose Sebert, chart-topping, glitter-caked new queen of drunk-girl dance music. Might very well be the perfect post-modern pop star: one who lives her life like it’s a reality show.”

When asked about flaunting her eccentricity, K$ responds, “None of it’s fabricated. Like, I have a belief that if I wear my placenta in a necklace, there’s a possibility of me gaining second sight—like being psychic. I would be wearing it whether or not I was in the public eye. I’m just honest about the things I believe in. For instance, I went yesterday to a past-life regressionist, and he told me that in my past life I was assassinated. I’m pretty sure that I was JFK in my past life.”

But Baby Gaga may want to hold on to her day job, since her team — What Would Jesus Dodge — lost to undefeated champs Ballz Deep (pictured inset) with a score of 8 to 2.

Travie McCoy has gone from going by the name Travis and making backpacker/punk jams with Gym Class Heroes to going by “Travie” and making tongue-in-cheek pop on his own. “Want U Bad” is the second single from McCoy’s upcoming album Lazarus, his solo debut.

With a stomping, glam rock beat, Travis brings Ke$ha into the fold for an auto-tuned, sing-along chorus (“I love the crazy things you do/Because tonight’s the night for me to play the fool”).

The track (spotted at Idolator) is a raw, lusty anthem. Given the flirtation and boy-girl interplay of the track, we can’t wait to see how Ke$ha and Travie interact in a video. Lord knows he owes his ex, Katy Perry, a case of jealousy after that 3Oh!3 video she did (“Starstrukk”).

Ke$ha appears to be floundering in the fashion stakes – she looks like the catch of the day in her latest video.

The Tik Tok singer was filming the promo for Your Love Is My Drug in the desert near Los Angeles.

She may have been going for that post-apocalyptic Mad Max look.

But the 23-year-old looked more like she’d had a run-in with a trawler than mutants hungry for fuel.

Apparently, the video will feature a cast of animated characters.

However, there’s no news on whether the cast of The Little Mermaid will be turning up to keep Ke$ha company.
