Ke$ha will not be allowed to perform in the South Street Seaport this summer.
The owners of the Seaport said they pulled the plug on the pop singer’s free performance because the sponsor, Paper Magazine, did such a poor job of planning the free Drake/Hanson concert in the Seaport last week that ended in a riot.
Chaos erupted at the June 15 concert when more than twice as many Drake and Hanson fans as Paper Magazine expected packed onto Pier 17. The crowd grew angry when rapper Drake was late, and people started throwing bottles and chairs. The NYPD cancelled the concert and blamed the riot on Paper Magazine.
That concert was supposed to be the first in a three-part series in the Seaport sponsored by Paper, called “Sounds Like Paper.” Ke$ha was slated to perform in the second concert, though the date had not been announced.

| Out in Hollywood – More June 21 candids! |

On Monday evening, pop newbie Ke$ha joined the likes of Nicole Richie, Pete Wentz and Alyssa Milano on Larry King Live for an undeniably noble cause: a telethon to raise funds for the oil-stricken Gulf.
Ke$ha kept relatively low-key for the affair, leaving the animal-print bodysuits at home in favor of a semi-standard liquid legging, a roomy gray tee and a nice glut of jewelry. But, Ke$ha being Ke$ha, there was one eyebrow-raising addition to the look, this time in the form of temporary body art. The singer appeared to be wearing a pair of painted-on cuffs in a liquid tattoo design.
Kesha had a busy night in Hollywood visiting various hang outs, but first, she did her bit for charity. The singer donated her time to to the Gulf Telethon at the “Larry King Live” studios before heading over to Rent-a-Wreck in West LA – maybe she thinks driving a beat up car in Hollywood will help her keep a low profile!! Later, Kesha and her pals went to El Chavo Mexican restaurant for dinner, then on to Gold Room in Silver Lake where they finished their evening.

Pop Smart: How Ke$ha tik-tokked her way to the top.
“I’m lying in bed naked,” whispers Kesha over the phone. Though it’s an intriguing image, she manages to come off less like a Mariah Carey-style sex kitten and more in the vein of a Jack Black-type, rubbing his nipples and licking his lips. When someone chooses to change the “s” in her name to a dollar sign, it’s really hard to take much that she does thereafter seriously. Imagine if Joanna New$om or Regina $pektor had made that little alteration. Fortunately, the oft glittered and feathered 23-year-old Kesha Sebert, whose irreverent party anthem “Tik Tok” has been inescapable over the course of 2010, is in on the joke. “I’m writing songs about brushing my teeth with Jack Daniels. It doesn’t have to be so serious all the time — especially with pop music. I don’t take myself very seriously. I don’t think I should or could,” she explains from her hotel room in New York City, which incidentally has “very nice sheets.”

| Ke$ha hits up the Horseshoe with Shad and The Arkells |

Ke$ha may have questionable tastes in fashion but she knows her after parties.
Last night, the Horseshoe Tavern hosted an exclusive, invite-only MMVA after party with The Arkells serving as the in-house band. The Hamilton, Ont. group dished out several Motown covers like ‘My Girl’ to an insatiable (and sweaty) crowd before pulling out a roaring cover of The Beatles’ Twist and Shout.
Brad Schwartz, the senior vice-president and general manager of the Much MTV group, was seen smiling all night as he danced and bobbed to the beat. Other notables in the crowd were MTV’s Dan Levy and Shad, who later joined The Arkells on stage for a couple of songs.
Ke$ha hung near the bar for most of the evening where she lived up to her image as a no holds barred party girl.
In true Canadian modesty, Max Kerman invited her on stage to sing but “only if she [wanted] to.”
Near the end of the party, the ‘Tik-Tok’ singer finally accepted the offer by trading the dance floor for the stage where she rocked out with Kerman and friends.
By the looks of it, Ke$ha would definitely be waking up in the morning feeling like P Diddy.

Gym Class Heroes’ Travie McCoy will hit the road with pop princesses Rihanna and Ke$ha on this summer’s Last Girl on Earth Tour, which kicks off on July 2 in Auburn, Washington. The tour will crisscross the U.S. and Canada and wrap up on August 28 in Syracuse, New York.
McCoy’s addition to the lineup comes after the tour was originally announced in April as a girl-power outing, with Young Money’s Nicki Minaj as one of the openers. Minaj later dropped out of the tour, saying she was going to focus on wrapping up her debut instead.
“Barbz I’m sorry 2 say I will not be going out on RiRi’s tour. I’ve decided 2 use that time 4 the completion of my album. Hope u understand,” the star tweeted just days after the tour was announced.
