Ke$ha opened for Rihanna‘s Last Girl On Earth Tour again in Mountain View, California on Saturday, July 10, and it was their first show in an outdoor venue. I’ve just uploaded some pix to our gallery and you can also watch videos under the ‘Read more‘ cut.

Due to a change in Rihanna’s schedule, she can no longer appear in Englewood (July 15), Atlanta (July 28) and Noblesville (August 3). Fans who purchased tickets will receive a refund. Rihanna apologizes to her fans and hopes to make it up to them on the next tour.

(…) “I’m having a dance party,” exclaimed support act Ke$ha, just before she launched into the third song of her set, Dinosaur, a hilarious attack on pervy older men.

Clad in a silvery grey sleeveless top and sparkly hot pants, the Nashville electro-pop princess had already spent close to 10 minutes bouncing around the stage in an unrelenting display of manic energy.

Backed by two dancers and an equally animated band — some of whom looked like they’d been plucked from a 1985 Sigue Sigue Sputnik audition — Ke$ha obviously came to party and she was taking the crowd down with her.

Not that anyone was fighting against it. By the time Ke$ha finished off with her huge hit Tik Tok, the audience was screaming, singing and waving their hands in the air. At least waving the one hand that wasn’t busy recording her performance on an iPhone. (…)

She angered fictional parents in her “Tik Tok” video, pranced around with the boys of 3OH!3 in her “Blah Blah Blah” clip and frolicked with a bearded boyfriend in an animated desert for her “Your Love Is My Drug” video. It might seem like Ke$ha had already done it all, but she ups the ante again in her latest clip.

In photos from the singer’s “Take It Off” video set, she’s seen wearing really, really short shorts, a white fur coat and even rocking super-high platforms while posing on a motorcycle. And Ke$ha even returns to the desert, joined by a number of dancers in the sand.

For the video, it looks like Ke$ha ditched her signature waves for straightened locks, a look that is more polished than we’re used to seeing from the party-girl pop star. But, of course, Ke$ha is keeping it dirrrty by including some face paint and covering herself in the aforementioned sand.

Pop’s hard-partying bad girl Ke$ha will play Ottawa on Aug. 4. The irreverent singer released her first album Animal in January this year, and the first single TiK ToK has sold more than seven million copies.

She is booked to perform at the Civic Centre Salons. Tickets are $35, plus surcharges, on sale Saturday through Ticketmaster, www.ticketmaster.ca or 613-755-1111, and at www.livenation.com. Showtime is 8 p.m.
