‘TIK TOK’ ON THE CLOCK: Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” spends a seventh week atop the Hot 100, becoming one of just three maiden Hot 100 entries by a lead solo female to reign for such a length since 1977.
Ke$ha’s introductory hit equals the stays at No. 1 of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl” (2008) and Ciara’s “Goodies” (2004).
If the party don’t stop (to employ “TiK ToK” grammar), and Ke$ha can remain at the apex for three more weeks, the song will match the longest span in charge for a female artist’s first Hot 100 single. Debby Boone dominated for 10 weeks with “You Light Up My Life” beginning Oct. 15, 1977.
(Ashanti and Beyonce inked longer runs at No. 1 with their first titles as lead acts – “Foolish” (2002) and “Crazy in Love” (2003) – but each performer had charted first in featured roles. In her first trip up the Hot 100, Kelly Rowland enjoyed a 10-week reign as a featured artist on Nelly’s “Dilemma” in 2002). (…)

Lady Gaga maintains pole position on Billboard’s European Albums chart with “The Fame” (Interscope/Universal), but loses out to a new female frontrunner on European Hot 100 Singles, as her “Bad Romance” is replaced at No. 1 by Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” (RCA/Sony Music Entertainment).
(…)
Ke$ha’s chart-topping debut European singles chart success makes up for a close shave last year, when the hit she guested on, Flo-Rida’s “Right Round” (Atlantic/Warner Music), spent seven consecutive weeks at No. 2 on European Hot 100 Singles, held off the top by Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.”
“Tik Tok,” which peaked at No. 4 in the United Kingdom four weeks ago, now spends a third week at No. 1 in Austria, Switzerland and Wallony, and a second in Germany. It debuts at No. 2 in France, holds at No. 6 in Italy and climbs 11-9 in Spain.

A week after Lady Gaga set a milestone mark on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart, Ke$ha rewrites the record.
Last week, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” made chart history for logging the most weekly plays in the 17-year archives of the tally, as the cut registered 10,859 plays in the tracking week of Jan. 11-17, according to Nielsen BDS.
This week, Ke$ha’s debut RCA Music Group smash “TiK ToK” claims both the summit from “Bad Romance” – the tracks swap places at Nos. 1 and 2 – and establishes a new weekly plays highpoint, totaling 11,224 detections in the tracking week of Jan. 18-24.

Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” tacks on a fifth week atop the Billboard Hot 100 and moves into the pole position of Radio Songs (2-1), claiming the No. 1 spot with 119.7 million listener impressions. The title also maintains its perch atop Digital Songs, shifting 244,000 downloads (down 4%).
Lady Gaga waits patiently at No. 2 for a sixth week with “Bad Romance” while former No. 1 “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys holds at No. 3.
Young Money grabs Airplay Gainer honors for “BedRock,” featuring Lloyd, which rolls 8-4. Iyaz’s “Replay” retreats 4-5 while “Sexy Chick” by David Guetta featuring Akon holds at No. 6. “Hard” by Rihanna featuring Jeezy rises 9-8 and Owl City’s “Fireflies” descends 5-9. (…)

Pop phenom singer/songwriter Ke$ha catapults to the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart with her debut album “Animal” (RCA Records / Kemosabe Entertainment). “Animal“, which was released on January 5th, is #1 album in the US, selling 151,942 copies. It is also #1 on the Digital Albums Chart, setting the record for the best ever digital album sales for a new artist and is the 3rd biggest digital album debut by a female, coming in right after Taylor Swift and Britney Spears. This also marks the biggest first week for an artist’s debut album released in January in SoundScan history. Ke$ha is also the first artist since Leona Lewis’ debut in 2008 to have a #1 debut album AND a #1 debut single.
This week marks Ke$ha’s 4th week in the #1 spot on the SoundScan Digital Songs Chart and it was joined at the top by her second single “Blah Blah Blah” making its debut at #2. Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” is #1 on the Hot 100 and has held that position for 3 consecutive weeks thus far and “Blah Blah Blah” is a hotshot debut at #7. Ke$ha has the distinction of having the two biggest selling tracks this week and is only the 4th artist in history to achieve such a feat (in the company of The Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce and Mariah Carey) and the first new artist to do so. Ke$ha also has 3 songs in the Top 15 of the Digital Songs Chart. Ke$ha’s tracks have sold over 693K in 1 week.

Keep an eye out for Ke$ha.
The LA lass has just pushed Susan Boyle from the top of the US album charts with her debut Animal.
Her single Tik Tok has been No1 for four weeks.
The last time she was in the UK she was nearly thrown out of the Q Awards for peeing in a sink.
She hits The Brits next month – good luck to the Earls Court toilet attendants.

| Ke$ha Ends Boyle’s ‘Dream’ With No. 1 Debut On Billboard 200 |

As expected, Ke$ha opens at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her debut album “Animal,” shifting 152,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The newcomer’s set replaces Susan Boyle “I Dreamed a Dream,” which drifts to No. 2 with 93,000 (down 32%) after a six-week run at the top of the heap. Young fans of Ke$ha must be delighted to see the 22-year old party-hearty girl bump the soaring sounds of the 48-year old Scottish reality TV star.
With 152,000, “Animal” actually sold better than first projected. Initially, some industry sources thought it was going to sell around 100,000 copies in its first frame. That prediction came as a result of how “Animal” sold a boatload of downloads in it first two days of release. Albums that initially sell big download numbers generally tend to trail off quicker as the week progresses. Thus, some industry projectors figured “Animal” would sell around 100,000.

As her debut album “Animal” opens at No. 1 on The Billboard 200, Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” remains at the top of The Billboard Hot 100 for a fourth week. The singer becomes the first act to simultaneously take its debut album and single to No. 1 on both charts since Leona Lewis led the lists with “Spirit” and “Bleeding Love,” respectively, on the chart dated April 26, 2008.
Ke$ha also makes some noteworthy moves on the Digital Songs chart as “Blah Blah Blah,” featuring 3OH!3, debuts at No. 2 (206,000 downloads) while “TiK ToK” occupies the top slot with 252,000. She’s the first artist to ever hold down the top two slots on that list with their first two singles and the first to do so at all since Black Eyed Peas in July, with “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling.” “Blah Blah” meanwhile debuts in the top 10 of the Hot 100, coming in at No. 7.
Download sales of Ke$ha’s 14 tracks from “Animal” total 694,000, with “Your Love Is My Drug” (101,000) and “Take It Off” (36,000) also ranking among the top 75-selling titles for the week while additionally debuting on the Hot 100, which will be posted in full on billboard.com tomorrow.

The party girl is going to kick the Scottish lady to the curb this week, as Ke$ha’s “Animal” will triumph over Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed a Dream” in the Billboard 200 chart that will be unveiled on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
While the chart hasn’t been finished yet, label sources indicate that what was originally thought to be a race between the two albums last Wednesday turned out to be any easy win for Ke$ha.
Her “Animal” album was initially projected to sell maybe 100,000 copies in the week that just ended on Sunday, Jan. 10. However, sources say it actually sold about 150,000 copies, easily beating Boyle’s “Dream.”
All of these figures are projections from industry sources based on internal data. The real, final Nielsen SoundScan numbers, as reflected in the Billboard 200 album chart, won’t be released until Wednesday, Jan. 13.
We’ll have more news on Ke$ha’s all-but-certain No. 1 album here on Wednesday morning.
