Despite 30-degree weather last night, Ke$ha showed up to Erin Wasson’s RVCA show wearing only a leopard-print leotard, fishnets, and a spiky leather biker jacket. She had just done a photo shoot for Elle, and arrived with the magazine’s creative director, Joe Zee, who styled her for the evening and thought no pants was a great look for the day after a snowstorm. “I have no ass, but I have pretty cool legs so I might as well just let it out,” Ke$ha told us. Her face was covered in glitter. “Hell yeah! Glitter is everything. Glitter and hair and hairspray,” she said. “I’m obsessed — I’m like, a glitter connoisseur. I buy it by the pound. I have like, secret sources of glitter. And then the only thing I’m a diva about on tour is like — I need at least a gallon of glitter a night.”

| Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” Continues Record-Breaking Run |

Ke$ha’s hot start hasn’t let up yet: “TiK ToK” stayed firmly planted at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 for the eighth straight week. The Animal singer is now the first female artist since 1977 to have her debut single spend that much time consecutively atop the Hot 100, Reuters reports, with Debby Boone’s “You Light Up My Life” the last single to accomplish it. Boone’s debut single spent 10 weeks at Number One, so “TiK ToK” needs another three weeks at the top before another record is shattered.
It seems like only two tracks stand a chance of unseating “TiK ToK,” starting with Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Know,” which jumped from Number Eight to Number Three, marking the first time a country music band has made the Top Three since Lonestar’s “Amazed” in 2000. The other contender: The all-star 25th anniversary recording of “We Are the World,” which benefits Haiti relief efforts. That track, featuring Lil Wayne, Kanye West, the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson and dozens more, will debut tonight during NBC’s broadcast of the Winter Olympics’ Opening Ceremony.

iPhone developer Tapulous has seen paid music downloads take off within its Tap Tap Revenge 3 game since it went free just before Christmas, according to CEO Bart Decrem.
“We announced in December that we had sold one million songs in Tap Tap Revenge in the first two months, but then between 20th December and now, we have sold several times over that,” he tells digital marketing blog SandboxFM.
“In three weeks, we sold 100,000 copies of Ke$ha’s Tik Tok alone in Tap Tap Revenge. At a time when a number one hit maybe sells a couple of million copies, to move 100,000 copies through our game shows that in-app commerce is real.”

Now is definitely Ke$ha’s moment. Her party anthem ‘Tik Tok’ sold more downloads in a single week than any female artist in history, hitting number one in five countries. Her album ‘Animal’ debuted atop the US Billboard chart. And she’s already got a notorious backstory that would make Madonna jealous.
Kesha Rose Sebert grew up in Nashville as the daughter of songwriter and single mom Pebe Sebert — who wrote Dolly Parton’s ‘Old Flames Can’t Hold A Candle To You.’ She appeared on ‘The Simple Life’ (Paris and Nicole tried to set her mom up on a date) and later went to a party at Paris Hilton’s house and threw up in her closet.
She once snuck into Prince’s home — and made it up to the third floor where he was jamming with his band before being escorted out by security. Many have pegged her as the inheritor of Lady Gaga’s crazy-pop throne (as if Ms. Gaga’s going to be abdicating anytime soon).
But would it surprise you to learn that Bob Dylan’s ‘Nashville Skyline’ is one of her favorite albums of all time? She may be a bonafide pop tart, but Ke$ha is no cliché.

Ke$ha has more stories than Teddy Ruxpin. The sassy LA pop singer, 22, broke into Prince’s mansion, threw up in Paris Hilton’s closet, sang background for Britney Spears and became BFFs with Katy Perry — all before landing a record deal. The only thing she didn’t do is change the Hollywood sign to read “ Ke$hawood” — that was just a video.
Once producer Dr. Luke (Ciara, Pink) stopped laughing at Ke$ha’s wannabe rap skills, he sent her into the studio with Flo Rida to provide the sung hook for “Right Round,” which went on to break the first-week single sales record. Her debut album, “Animal,” reached the top of the iTunes album chart, and her lead single, “Tik Tok,” has spent weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Digital charts. The Post talked with Ke$ha about her crazy rise to the top.

In the early years of the 20th Century – the heyday of the music hall – singers would often try and titillate their audience with songs about sex, nakedness and general sauce. These were extraordinarily popular, as the people then were much like people now – always in favour of a mucky laugh set to music. Of course, they had no ’say anything’ internet, no sweary films, no rock ‘n’ roll and a media whose view of public disgracefulness of this sort was close to that of the strictest headmaster in the world.
So, without using any of the words, the way entertainers got their message across was to use innuendo. They’d write a song about, say, a yoyo. or a stick of rock, and with nothing but a cheeky wink, and the clear impression that nobody would bother to write about something that silly unless it had a hidden meaning, a very clean sort of filthy song would ensue.
Ke$ha, it’s fair to say, does not feel the need to hide behind such tricks.

| Five Things You Don’t Know About Ke$ha |

Turn on the radio and you’re bound to hear Ke$ha (pronounced Kesha, not Keisha or Casha!) belting out the lyrics to her club anthem “Tik Tok,” the No. 1 pop song right now. Sound like your typical 22-year-old party girl? Maybe. But here are a few things about her that may surprise you:
1. Nerd Alert!: Sure, she brags about brushing her teeth with Jack Daniels and hooking up with boys who look like Mick Jagger, but the pop star has an intellectual side too. Before scoring a record deal, “I was going to go to Barnard to be a psychologist,” she says. Currently reading A Short History of Everything by Bill Bryson (“It’s so good,” she gushes), Ke$ha adds that as a high school student, she used to crash college classes for fun. “I’d drive down to Belmont [University] and sit in on a cold war history class,” she says with a laugh. “I love learning.”
2. She Ain’t Afraid of No Ghosts: Terrified is more like it. “I just recently moved because [my house] was haunted,” she says. In fact, her fear helped inspire the line, “Woke up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy,” in “Tik Tok.” “I’d always try to convince my friends to spend the night, ’cause I wouldn’t get haunted on if they were there,” she says. “I woke up one morning, surrounded by all my girlfriends. I woke up feeling like P. Diddy!”
